NAVIN SURI
Following a 23-year career in business roles at global banks and in asset management, Navin turned techpreneur in 2014. Exasperated by technology vendor lock-ins, and access to only limited and slow-moving data, he was determined to re-imagine enterprise data management. He co-founded Percipient with two ex-colleagues and a team of young passionate developers to enable source and location agnostic data unification, using the latest data virtualisation and big data technologies. After 20 months of extensive research and development, Percipient launched UniConnect, its flagship data integration platform.
Since then, Percipient has marked several important milestones. The company successfully raised seed funding in Apr 2017, including investments from several global corporate technology leaders. In Oct 2017, Hewlett Packard Enterprise partnered with Percipient to develop a next generation data integration platform by leveraging Percipient’s UniConnect platform. Percipient signed a strategic partnership with Intel Corporation in Nov 2017, enabling it to gain early access to Intel roadmap technologies.
Percipient’s teams are based in Singapore, India, USA and Australia, and the company’s first clients are in Asia and USA.
Navin’s corporate career includes roles as Asia-Pacific Head of Sales & Distribution for Citi’s Retail Bank based in Singapore, CEO for ING’s Investment Management unit in India, and Asia-Pacific Head of Distribution for Bank of New York Mellon’s Investment Management business based at Hong Kong.
